"Meditation Is..."

by Larry Morris

Meditation

is

like

waiting

in

line

until

it’s

your

turn

to

be

at

the

cash register.

Meditation

is

trying

not

to

mind

the

time

it’s

 taking

to

settle

within

yourself.

Meditation

is

knowing

that

nothing

has

to

happen

and

letting

that

be

O.K.

Meditation

is

driving

behind

the

small

town

farmer’s

pick-up

that

goes

so

slow

because

the

farmer

knows

there’s

nowhere

to

go.

Meditation

is

giving

yourself

up

(with

or

without

a

struggle),

Meditation

is

when

you

no

longer

get

so

excited

about

things.

Meditation

is

all

the

small

deaths

that

die

in

you

each

day.

Meditation

is

what

happens

when

you

are

looking

the

other

way.

Meditation

because

there

is

something

beyond

yourself.

Meditation

satisfies

what

can’t

be

satisfied

elsewhere.

Meditation

because

silence

heals.

Meditation

because

you

can

not

not

meditate.

Meditation

all

the

levels

are

brought

to

one

point.

Meditation

the

way

and

the

end

of

the

way.
