“Patience”

by Dr. Larry Morris

The Buddha said. "Patience is the greatest prayer." For most of us, patience is the key to a harmonious and happy life on this earth. When we allow ourselves to relax and let things unfold in our life, we discover a basic sense of peace and order right in the midst of what may have appeared as chaos or confusion. When we are anxious and straining for results, we seem to push the good we are seeking further away from us. Patience is the willingness to let things sort themselves out and come into their own harmony and order. Patience reflects our trust in the inherent goodness of this life. If indeed all things are working together for good for us, then we can relax our need to make them work faster. We can let go and let ourselves be a part of the flow of this life.
