forest in autumn, by Larry Morris

Sun

shining

gold

in

the

mountains,

aspens

turning

bright

yellow,

bushes

bright

orange,

grass

golden,

trees

gray/green,

sky

pale blue

streaked

with

purple,

everything

aglow

with

the

colors

of

deep

Autumn.

Sometimes

the

deer

come

to

drink

from

the

shallow

water

hole,

always

birds,

always

insects,

the

trees

say

nothing

just

point

the

way

to

heaven.

How

long

left

on

this

sweet

earth.
