Competition is part of human nature. It has its roots in our animal instincts for territory and survival. Society both rewards and condems this innate trait in us alL The competitive urge, shaped, reinforced, and judged by society can unleash our most destructive impulses or it can push us to great performance and achievement. Confusion and fear of competition can paralyze us, so-called "fear of success" that keeps people from achieving their goals. When we recognize the competitiveness within us for what it is, we can relax and accept it. This non-resistance and nonjudgement prepares us for a spiritual leap where competition has no reality. In God there is only One. Oneness there are no competing forces. All things have their place and their purpose. The universe flows in Divine Order.
